Backyard Barbecue Prep (part 2)

After a long weekend of work and restless sleep last night, I am beating myself for not having taken today off of work. Alas, I am dawning my work garb and prepping my hair (can we say top-knot?) and makeup (or the lack there of).

This weekend was a whirlwind of activity, though. We did weeding and craft projects. I made those wine bottle tiki torches your see all over Pinterest. Good news: they really do work and are super easy to put together! I’ll add my tutorial on “How To Do” later.

Andy graciously moved our firepit. Previously we learned it was situated right on top of our septic system. Since we tore down the dog run, we figured a nice fire pit patio could go in it’s place. So, we moved the pit. The patio will come either later this summer or next depending on my energy levels.

Then, we unpacked and put together all of our recently delivered patio furniture!

It wasn’t all work and no play, though. We got out the sprinkler for the dogs (and to water our very dry grass), ate out on the deck for meals, and played some horseshoes! We are very excited to share this space with family and friends this coming weekend!!
